The cool, blue Colorado River flows through our valley and nearby Lake Mohave offers literally hundreds of miles of shoreline, sandy beaches and secluded coves. A part of the Lake Mead National Recreation Area, Lake Mohave’s pristine natural beauty is protected for future generations. The Recreation Area is also home to Grapevine Canyon, where ancient Native American petroglyphs cover the canyon’s rock walls. Rangers offer guided hikes on a regular basis. To the south of Bullhead City, the Fort Mojave Indian Tribe’s casinos and recreational facilities offer exciting nightlife, championship golf and traditional Native American cultural activities like the annual Pow Wow held each February. |
